With this kind of design, it is rather inevitable that wood should be used at least for the external cabinet. Indeed, it is made of Southern California domestic wood handcrafted to look like wood planks. Although the standard exterior wood is oak, you can have the wine cooler in maple, mahogany, cherry, birch, or pine. You can even choose from among 20 options the finish of the wood that you prefer including natural, light walnut, golden oak, dark red mahogany, and rich brown, to name a few.

The double doors of the cooler are opened with two metal rings fastened to the door with x-shaped metal attachments. The doors pivot on hinges that are molded like arrows pointing towards the middle of the cabinet. Decorative metal buttons traverse the cabinet, dividing it into an upper and lower section.

Inside the Vinotemp Clavos 440-Model Wine Cooler Cabinet is a wine rack consisting of 280 cubicles sized at 3.75 inches. These are intended for standard size wine bottles. Using Vinotemp’s Wine Mate cooling system, the cooler maintains a temperature of 55°F, and humidity ranging from 50 – 70%. The lower area houses the wine refrigerator while the upper serves as storage for wine glasses, decanters, corkscrews, stoppers, and other wine serving and drinking accessories. The wine refrigerator is divided vertically into two cooling zones, each having its own door. The temperature of these zones can be set individually allowing you to chill your Chardonnay and Chablis at 50°F in one zone, while keeping Bordeaux and Burgundy in the other at 65°F.
