The reflective smoke glass door and black cabinet of the Wine Enthusiast Silent 18-Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator make it look sleek and classy. It can be at home in most kitchens, not only in contemporary but even in traditional ones as well.
The Wine Enthusiast refrigerator features two cooling zones allowing you to store different types of wines. The upper zone has a temperature range of 54°-64°F where you can keep your Bordeaux or Cabernet Sauvignon, while that of the lower zone is 46°-64°F for your Sauternes and Muscats.
An exterior digital touchscreen control panel adjusts temperature levels in the two cooling areas. This is mounted horizontally in the middle of the thermopane glass door, and it displays in blue LED the current temperature of the two zones. Buttons featuring adjustment arrows and the interior light switch are on the panel.
Employing a thermoelectric cooling system, the Wine Enthusiast refrigerator is a quiet and vibration-free appliance. This latter feature is important as it minimizes the possibility of agitating the wine sediments in your bottles, which could unfavorably affect the bouquet and taste of the wine. As it does not utilize a compressor with ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons, the refrigerator is environmentally friendly.
Each zone has two pull-out chrome racks that make loading and retrieving wine bottles convenient. These are scalloped to keep the bottles in place and keep the sediments still. There is also a third shelf beneath the racks. In the upper zone, it is the divider separating the two cooling zones, while in the lower zone, it is the bottom of the cabinet. A total of 18 bottles can be carried in the shelves, nine in the upper and another nine in the lower zones.
The refrigerator has measurements of 25.5″ H x 14″ W x 19.75″ D, and weighs approximately 45 lbs. It is designed for a freestanding installation only.
