For those with a growing wine collection with a mix of white and red wines, the Vinotemp VT-WC58GNV-SB Wine Refrigerator is a good replacement, or addition, to their initial small wine coolers.
It has a capacity of 58 wine bottles which are cradled in six metal shelves. These have a wave-like design to prevent the bottles from turning and thus agitating the wine sediments. For ease of cleaning, they can be removed from the refrigerator. An interior light illuminates the bottles for display.
The cabinet, both in the interior and exterior, is colored with a shiny black. It has a dual-paned glass door encased in a lustrous stainless steel frame. Mounted on it is a towel-rack style door handle which is also in stainless steel. On the bottom frame is the keyhole of a locking mechanism that secures your wine collection. Temperature control consists of buttons and a digital display installed at the top of the cooler. Although it is not divided into zones, the areas inside the cabinet do not normally have the same temperatures. The lower area is cooler than the upper area. For this reason, red wines should be stored in the upper area, while white wines should be in the lower. The two glass panes of the door provide insulation keeping cool air inside the refrigerator while at the same time keeping hot air from penetrating inside, and thus maintaining constant temperature levels.
