Looking more like a credenza than a wine cooler, the Vinotemp VT-Rioja1 Rioja Wine Cellar is more at home in the dining room, living room, or study than in the kitchen. Finished with a warm hardwood shell with ornate carvings including two columns at the front that appear to be of a design from ancient Greece and carved bun feet, the wine cellar radiates elegance and grace.
In addition to these ornaments, the Rioja features a glass door that is highlighted with decorative metal scroll work. The door handle is also intricately designed. It has a recessed top for holding wine bottles and glasses that are ready for serving. Right underneath this tray, is a drawer for storing wine accessories such as a corkscrew, wine collar, or wine stopper. This opens with an elaborate rounded knob.
Inside all these elegance is a hardworking hybrid cooling system that combines a compressor using the refrigerant R134a, the least harmful of the CFCs, and a thermoelectric mechanism. This efficiently and effectively cools the 21 wine bottles that can be stored in the cooler.
The bottles are cradled by seven wire racks that are made of chrome-plated metal within the black interior. These are scalloped to keep the bottles still thus leaving the wine sediments undisturbed. An interior light is supplied to illuminate your wine collection for display through the dual-paned glass door.
Temperature is adjustable through controls inside the wine cellar allowing you to store different types of wine at their own recommended storage temperatures.
The Vinotemp VT-Rioja1 Rioja Wine Cellar is intended to be freestanding. Besides, it would be a waste to encase this piece of work hiding its excellent wood finish. It has dimensions of 45.3″ H x 20.7″ W x 20.5″ D.
