Finished in oak with warm hues, the hardwood exterior of the Vinotemp VT-Bordeaux1 Wine Cellar exudes class and dignity. The borders of the glass door that are fashioned like a rope and the brass handle further add style to the cooler. Visible though the glass door are seven wood shelves that are a perfect match to the exterior finish. All these make the VT-Bordeaux1 an excellent addition to your kitchen, dining room, or bar.
Underneath all these wood is a combination of a thermoelectric cooling system with a gas compressor that uses R134a, the refrigerant with the least ozone-depleting potential. This produces a hybrid cooling mechanism that quickly and efficiently cools your wine bottles to the desired temperature levels. These can be set to levels appropriate for the type of wine stored with a thermostat control.
The seven wood shelves slide out and can each hold five bottles for a total of 42. They are slatted to prevent the bottles from rolling over and disturbing the wine sediments. The interior is colored black but is provided with a lamp to illuminate your wine collection for display, or reading the labels without taking the bottles out. The glass door is double-paned, serving the triple function of displaying your wine, protecting them from ultraviolet rays, and insulating the interior from heat.
As the vents of the Vinotemp VT-Bordeaux1 Wine Cellar are at the back of the cabinet, it can only be installed as a freestanding unit. It measures about 39″ high, 25″ wide, and 24″ deep.
