Having a width of only 14 inches makes the Vinotemp VT-18TEDS Thermoelectric Wine Cooler one of the slimmest wine coolers around. It is thus easy to find a place for its installation. With a height of 25.5 you can place it on a table top, although it might be too tall for your countertop especially if there are cupboards above them. Its depth is 21.5 inches.

The wine cooler sports a stainless steel frame encasing a dual pane glass door. A tubular door handle that is also made of stainless steel spans almost the entire height of the right door frame. All these luster stand out in contrast with the black cabinet exterior and interior of the cooler.

The glass door allows the display of your wine collection. With a soft blue light in the interior illuminating your bottles, a dramatic exhibition can be achieved. Apart from this, the glass door also plays an important role in keeping your wine chilled. The two glass panes provide excellent insulation for the cooler, keeping warm air from seeping into the interior and preventing cool air from leaking out. Further, they keep harmful UV rays from your wine bottles.

The wine bottles rest on five scalloped wire racks and the bottom shelf, three to each for a total of 18 wine bottles. The undulating shelves are meant to keep the bottles from rolling and disturbing the wine sediments.

For as long as the cooler has an ambient temperature of 77°F or below, its thermoelectric cooling system can cool your wines to their appropriate storage temperatures without excessive noise or vibration. The reason is the system does not use a compressor that could emit a purring sound and vibrate when activated.

A further advantage of a thermoelectric system is that it does not use harmful chlorofluorocarbons that could deplete the ozone layer. Also, its power consumption is minimal, thus making it a very environmentally-friendly wine cooler.

Digital push buttons and an LED temperature display are used to control temperature levels. Once set to a desired level, the cooler maintains the temperature along with humidity.
