The 12TEDS has room for twelve 750 ml wine bottles. It has four shelves, each carrying three bottles. The Vinotemp VT-12TEDS Thermoelectric Wine Cooler is fitted with a thermoelectric cooling mechanism. This is a CFC- and HCFC-free system and thus will not harm the ozone layer. It also does not use a compressor which normally vibrates emitting a humming sound when running. Since the only moving part of the thermoelectric system is a fan, both sound and vibration are kept to a minimum. For the same reason, energy consumption is kept to a minimum.
Temperature can be adjusted using intuitive control buttons mounted on the top door frame. A digital display indicates temperature levels. However, the cooler requires an ambient temperature below 77°F to effectively cool your wines.
