At a quick first glance at the Tresanti DC10930107-1823 Meridian Wine Cooler and Curio, it is not the wine cooler that catches your attention. It is the premium oak cabinet that houses the refrigerator and incorporates a storage area for your stemware. It also has a drawer and a pull-out serving counter that is topped with a slab of shiny polished granite.
The cabinet itself has a simple design having mostly straight lines and right angles, with a minimum of embellishments. Easily, it can be classed as an American Craftsman design especially with its oak finish. The wine cooler is enclosed in the bottom section with the stemware storage above it. These two are separated from each other by the drawer and serving counter. The storage area has rods for hanging glasses by their stems as well as two shelves for your other wine accessories. One of the shelves is a made of glass while the other is of wood. At the back is a full mirror.
A dual zone type, the wine cooler can keep both your red and white wines at their appropriate drinking temperatures at the same time. The upper zone has a temperature range between 45° to 54°F and has a capacity of six bottles. This is where you can keep your Champagne, Sauvingnon blanc, or Madeiras. The lower zone has a bigger capacity, which is 12 bottles, with a temperature range of 54° to 65°F. Your Beaujolais, Burgundy, or Cabernet Sauvignon should be stored there.
The wines are stored on metal racks, two at the upper zone and four at the lower. They are not, however, removable.
The Tresanti DC10930107-1823 Meridian Wine Cooler and Curio relies on a thermoelectric cooling system. This means that it does not have ozone layer-harmful chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). It also means that it runs quietly without vibrations.
Overall dimensions of the wine cooler and curio are 23″ W x 24″ D x 70″ H.
