Close to seven feet tall, the Sub-Zero Model 427RGRH Wine Storage Refrigerator has more than enough space for 78 bottles of your favorite wines. Indeed, in addition to the wine cabinet, it has two refrigerated drawers below it.
The wine bottle cabinet is divided into two cooling zones allowing you to store red wines in temperatures around 60°F in one zone and sparkling wines in the other at levels close to 40°F. The upper zone has six shelves while the bottom has two. The six shelves at the top can hold 54 bottles, while the rest are stored at the lower half. There is also one shelf that is tilted upwards from the rear which serves to showcase your finest wines. It can hold six bottles. These are illuminated with a soft light to give them a dramatic effect.
The shelves are made of durable rust-free wire racks but are trimmed with natural cherry wood at their fronts. They can be pulled out about three-quarters of the way to facilitate the storage and withdrawal of bottles.
The two drawers at the bottom of the wine refrigerator can be used to store food items that go with your wine. Cheese, cold cuts, fowl, or meat can be chilled in them.
The control panel is mounted on the division between the two zones. It features push button controls and a digital display indicating the temperatures in the two cooling zones. Temperature can be adjusted in one-degree increments from 38°F – 65°F.
The Sub-Zero 427RGRH is finished in stainless steel. You have the option of choosing from classic, platinum, or carbon stainless. The wine cabinet is enclosed by a glass door that resists UV rays. A towel-rack style handle that runs the full height of the door is mounted on the right hand side of the refrigerator. The drawer pullers are also of the same design.
The refrigerator, which can either be built into your kitchen cabinets or installed freestanding, has overall dimensions of 80″ H x 27″ W x 24″ D.
