The cooler features two separate cooling zones whose temperatures can be set independently of each other. Thus, if you like both red and sparkling wines, you won’t have to worry about their different serving temperatures. Both zones have a temperature range of 46° – 65°F, allowing you to set one zone at 46°F for your Sauternes and Muscats, while the other zone is set at 65°F for your Bordeaux and Shiraz. These temperatures are set through separate digital control panels mounted on the top door frames.
Each of the cooling zones can carry 16 bottles on seven pull-out shelves and the fixed bottom shelf. The shelves are made of wood slats that are spaced apart to keep the bottles from turning over. Beautiful wood trims are fitted on the fronts of the shelves which are visible through the glass doors.
The Premia Deluxe PWC-32DWX Wine Cooler relies on a thermoelectric cooling system to chill the stored wines. With this solid state mechanism, a compressor and refrigerant are rendered unnecessary. This results in a more energy-efficient cooler with virtually no noise and vibration as it has very few moving parts. And because it has no refrigerant, it does not harm the ozone layer.
Helping in the cooling of your wine collection are the dual pane glass doors. These provide excellent insulation keeping hot air from getting into the cooler while sealing cold air inside. The glasses are also resistant to ultraviolet rays thus keeping them from harming the wine.
