The stainless steel trim of the glass door of the N’Finity 23 Model 273 02 23 03 Compact Wine Cooler stands out against the backdrop of the black cabinet. At the same time, although the tinted glass door somehow obscures the handsome hardwood fronts of the shelves, they are still very much visible as their light finish contrasts with the black interior. These features result in an attractive wine cellar that is sure to complement and beautify any kitchen or bar.
Apart from its appealing looks it also quite functional. It has two cooling zones whose temperatures can be set independently of each other, thus allowing you to store different wine types at the same time. The upper zone has a range of 41° – 60°F while the lower zone has 45°F – 64°. The former, therefore, can be used for your dessert or sparkling wines, all kinds of whites, as well as light-bodied reds; while the latter is suited for all types of white wines to the rich, spicy, and warm reds.
The wine cellar’s control panel is mounted on the zone partition. It consists of the on/off, thermostat adjustment, zone switch (used when choosing which zone temperature you want to adjust), and light switch buttons. In addition to these are two LED digital displays indicating the temperature levels in the two cooling zones. There are also three blue lights labeled “red”, “white”, and “sparkling”. Each of these lights up when their corresponding recommended storage temperature is set. For instance, if temperature is set at 64°F, the “red” light comes alive.
The bottles are cradled in a total of six hardwood shelves, with each cooling zone having three. They run on ball bearing slides making storage and withdrawal of bottles convenient. They are designed to carry 23 bottles whether they are of the regular Bordeaux size, or the larger Pinot Noir, Champagne, or Chardonnay.
The N’Finity 23 relies on a compressor for cooling the wine bottles. It is vented at its front, making it possible to install it as a built-in unit. With measurements of 15″ W x 26″ D x 35″, it should be easy to find a space for it under your kitchen or bar counter.
