Divided into two zones with each having six glide out wine racks and one stationary cradle, the Marvel Chateau Wine Refrigerator 66SWCE has enough room for 108 wine bottles, including magnums. Half of these are in an upper zone with the other half in the lower.
The temperature in these two zones can be set independently of each other. Thus, you can store and chill sparkling and white wines in one zone cooling them to as low as 40°F, while at the same time maintaining a temperature somewhere between 50° to 65°F for your red wines in the other. Temperature levels are adjusted by intuitive touch controls discreetly mounted on the divider between the two zones.
The sliding shelves are fully extendable making storage and retrieval of wine bottles convenient. These can accommodate most types of wine bottles, including Burgundy, Rhône, Bordeaux, and Champagne. The fronts are trimmed with solid white maple, although you have the option of having Marvel’s gloss black, gloss white, or stainless instead.
The Marvel Chateau Wine Refrigerator 66SWCE’s cabinet comes in either monochromatic black or white, both exterior and interior. If you go for the black, you can again choose between a black or stainless steel door frame. The white does not offer this option though.
The reversible door frame encases a dual-paned glass door that is filled with argon, a noble gas with a low thermal conductivity thus helping keep cool air inside and hot air outside of the refrigerator’s interior. The glass is also tinted keeping harmful UV rays from adversely affecting your wine. Although tinted, the glass door is transparent enough to display your wine collection. An interior lamp provides dramatic lighting effect to make your showcase more appealing.
The refrigerator features a Sentry System that activates an audible and visual alarm if it senses something amiss with the temperature, whether it is far above or far below the level set, or if the door is left open, as well as in case of a power failure.
