Featuring Marvel’s exclusive Sentry System™, the company’s 3SWCE-BB-G Wine Cooler is capable of actively maintaining stable and optimal cooling conditions within the cooler. It has monitors that can issue audible or visual alarms if the door is not properly closed, internal temperature varies from the set level, or there is a power failure.
The cabinet of the wine cooler comes in three variations –all black, including exterior, interior, and door; black exterior and interior with stainless steel door frame; and all white, including exterior, interior, and door. All of these, however, have the same metal glide-out racks with a white maple trim that can be stained to complement adjacent appliances. There are six of these which can accommodate as many as 24 bottles, including magnums.
The bottles in the cooler can be illuminated by an interior light. It has a one-touch control for continuous lighting should you wish to showcase your collection. With the light, the bottles are even more visible though the glass door.
The glass door is constructed with dual panes, with the space between them filled with Argon. This greatly enhances its insulation properties keeping cool air inside the cooler. It is also tinted to keep harmful ultraviolet rays from your wine.
A compressor-based cooling mechanism brings temperatures to a range starting from 40° – 65°F allowing you to store Champagne, Chardonnay, Chianti, or Cabernet Sauvignon. As compressors have a tendency to vibrate, the cooling system is equipped with a Vibration Neutralization System or VNS. This consists of the isolation of the compressor from the cooling chamber, vibration-isolating mounts for the compressor, and vibration-dampening mats on the shelves.
A digital adjustable thermostat mounted inside the cooler enables the setting of the desired temperature. The touch control buttons are intuitive and easy to operate. It also has an LED display indicating real-time temperature.
A front vent below the door allows built-in installation. With a reversible door, you can choose on which side you want it to open. And as it is only 15 inches wide, it is easy finding a place for it under your kitchen or bar counter. It stands 34.25 inches high, which is just about the height of most counters, with a depth of 24 inches.
