The Koolatron Slim is a freestanding countertop wine cooler that is sure to make your kitchen look modern and sophisticated. With a stainless steel door frame encasing a glass panel giving you full view of the bottles inside, the cooler looks quite attractive.
Perhaps one of the best things going for the Koolatron Slim is its small footprint. It is only 11.7 inches wide and 20.8 inches deep. That is less than two square feet. You can put it atop your counter and still have plenty of room left. It is 26 inches high so that installing it on a three foot-high counter, which is the average kitchen counter height, will position it at just the perfect level for easy access, neither bending nor reaching up.
The Koolatron Slim’s thermostat is adjustable from a range of 43 to 64°F. This allows you to store your choice of either red or white wine. This temperature range is maintained with the use of a thermoelectric solid state cooling system. This means that the Koolatron Slim is quiet and does not vibrate, an important feature as vibration could agitate the sediments in the wine bottles adversely affecting their aging. It also includes an auto defrost mechanism to avoid undesirable excessive cooling.
Inside the wine cooler are five chrome shelves designed to keep the wine bottles from rolling. For convenient access, these can be pulled out. An interior light is included which can be left on even with the door closed to highlight your wine collection.
Keeping the air cool inside the Koolatron and protecting your wine is a double-tempered insulated glass door from Thermopane. This effectively keeps warm air from seeping into the cooler and at the same time keeps the cool air inside from leaking.
