The versatility of dual zone temperature wine coolers is always welcome for oenophiles who enjoy all types of wines –red, white, or sparkling. This is because although different wines may be stored at the same temperature, between 50°F and 60°F, their ideal serving temperatures vary. Rich full-bodied reds are best at 65°F while sparkling wines should be as cold as 45°F. The Jenn-Air Wine Cellar has a capacity of 46 bottles including six magnums. Forty bottles are nestled in five wine racks that are trimmed with maple fronts. These are left unstained so you can choose the shade you want to stain it with to complement your existing cabinetry. The racks glide smoothly on stainless steel ball bearings making access effortless. The magnums are in a fixed shelf.
Three of the racks are in an upper zone, while the rest are in the lower zone. The temperature control is on the base grille and it allows the adjustment of temperature levels in the two zones. Each zone can have its own temperature independently of that of the other zone so that you can chill bottles of Bordeaux and Cava at their recommended temperatures with a single wine cooler. Two LED monitors display temperatures, either in Fahrenheit or Celsius, in both zones.
The wine cellar’s body is colored black with a stainless steel door frame holding down a thermal glass door panel. The glass is UV-resistant, protecting your wine bottles from harmful rays and light. On the door trim is a handle in brushed stainless steel that is almost as tall as the door itself.
Four variations of this Jenn-Air wine cellar are available –the model JUW248RWRS which has a stainless steel door that opens on the right; JUW248RBCX, door with custom overlay that opens on the right; JUW248LWRS, stainless steel door that opens on the left; and JUW248LBCX, custom overlay and opening on the left.
It has dimensions of approximately 35″ H x 24″ W x 24″ D. It can be installed under the counter or freestanding.
