It is constructed from solid hardwood that is finished in a very dark burgundy. It has two main sections –a lower section enclosed with dual glass doors and an upper section sealed with two paneled doors. The lower area houses the wine refrigerator while the upper serves as storage for wine glasses, decanters, corkscrews, stoppers, and other wine serving and drinking accessories. All doors are opened with bronze ring knobs.

The wine refrigerator is divided vertically into two cooling zones, each having its own door. The temperature of these zones can be set individually allowing you to chill your Chardonnay and Chablis at 50°F in one zone, while keeping Bordeaux and Burgundy in the other at 65°F.

Seven sturdy wire racks finished with chrome plating cradle 21 wine bottles in each zone. They are scalloped to keep the bottles still and they feature a front wood trim that matches the finish of the wood cabinet. Slightly slanted with a lower outer end, the bottle’s labels can be easily read even behind the glass door, a perfect display position. Interior lights help turn the display into a more dramatic presentation.

The glass doors consist of two glass panes framed in hardwood, thus providing excellent insulation for the refrigerator preventing the flow of hot air from outside into the cooler, while at the same time keeping cold air inside.

The Vinotemp VT-BLEEKER2 Wine Bar features a hybrid cooling system. This is composed of a thermoelectric mechanism that is backed-up with a compressor utilizing the least harmful of refrigerants, the R134a. The use of this coolant assures the delivery of lower temperatures even when ambient temperature rises to higher levels.

While the former cooling system is able to bring temperatures down to lower levels for your desert wines, it has the potential to damage the ozone layer. On the other hand, thermoelectric cooling systems may be free of chlorofluorocarbons but often they are unable to properly chill desert, sparkling, and even light-bodied whites. This especially true when ambient temperature is high.

By combining the two, the Bordeaux2C activates its compressor only when the thermoelectric system is unable to lower temperatures to the desired level. To minimize the environmental impact of the compressor, the refrigerant 134a is used. Of all the available refrigerants, this is the least harmful.

The Bordeaux2C is a beautiful oak-finished credenza that is completely at home in formal dining rooms and living rooms. Its rich warm tone is a perfect complement to most furniture or room. It has two glass doors with arched tops framed in wood, with one hinged on the left of the credenza and the other on the right.

The doors open to two cooling zones whose temperatures can be set independently of each other. Each zone has seven wood shelves consisting of slats spaced apart to keep the bottles from rolling and a front trim that is visible through the glass door. These shelves can carry six bottles each. Thus, you can store 42 reds on one side and another 42 white or sparkling wines on the other.

The double paned glass doors allow the showcasing of your wine bottles. An interior light illuminates them for an attractive display. Apart from this, the glass panes also insulate the cellar thus helping maintain a steady temperature in the four cooling zones.

The Vinotemp VT-Rioja4 Rioja Wine Cellar is not suitable for a built-in or recessed installation. At any rate, it would be a waste to conceal its elegant wood finish.

The Napa1 Wine Cellar has a capacity of 20 bottles resting on five scalloped wire shelves that keep them from turning over. The shelves can be pulled out for a convenient loading and unloading.

The wine bottles are chilled by a hybrid cooling system that has both a compressor using the refrigerant R134a, which is known to be the least harmful to the ozone layer among other refrigerants, and a solid state thermoelectric mechanism. As the latter system has a minimum of moving parts, it cools the wine quietly and with virtually no vibrations. Also, with this combination, optimum temperature levels are attained quickly and maintained with a minimum of energy consumption.
