GE is a conglomerate that is known worldwide with businesses in power generation, finance, healthcare, automation, aviation, and appliance manufacture. One of the appliance brands it owns is GE Profile which produces cooking, clean-up, and food preservation appliances. Among the last is the GE Profile Deluxe Wine Center PWR04FANBS.
The Deluxe Wine Center is a well-designed cooler that comes with a black steel cabinet and a glass door framed with a stainless steel border, except for the top frame, which is in black. The interior of the cabinet is also black.
Five slide-out chrome racks designed like waves can be seen through the door. A sixth chrome rack, intended to hold wine bottles in a slanting position, is on the bottom shelf. Together, these racks can hold a total of 29 bottles. The waves of the five racks are meant to keep the wine bottles from rolling over, while the slanting position of the bottles in the bottom rack are aimed at displaying their labels. An interior light illuminating the labels helps in reading them.
The GE Profile wine cooler has a temperature range of 45 to 65°F. This can be set using the adjustment buttons on the top door frame. There are three adjustment options –Red Wine, White Wine, and Custom. Red Wine sets the temperature to 55°F while White Wine sets it to 45°F. Custom allows you to set the temperature at levels other than 45 or 55°F. A digital readout displays the temperature in the cooler.
Securing your collection is a locking mechanism mounted on the top door frame. Also on the door frame is the door handle that is recessed to give the door a clean uncluttered look. The door can be reversed to open either on the left of right. At the bottom of the wine cooler are leveling legs which allow even installation on irregular flooring.
The Deluxe Wine Center has dimensions of approximately 20″ W x 23″ D x 32.5″ H. It is designed to be freestanding.
