In spite of its name, the EuroCave La Petite Wine Cabinet is anything but small in terms of its features. Without being divided into dual compartments, it can chill sparkling and white wines to their recommended serving temperatures while at the same time cool red wines to their own. This is because the cooler has a Boost Zone at the bottom.
Another distinguishing feature that makes the EuroCave La Petite big is its provision for vertically storing two opened bottles of wine and preserving them from 7 to 10 days. Two removable oxygen extraction heads eliminate oxygen that found their way into the bottles after uncorking turning them into vacuums. This prevents wine oxidation thus maintaining their quality, taste, and aroma.
The wine cabinet stores 12 wine bottles. Apart from the two vertical bottles, stored wine are cradled in the unique “main du sommelier” wine shelves. These are shaped like the “hand of the sommelier” presenting the wine to the guests. They resist vibrations and adjust to the bottles’ shapes.
Utilizing a Peltier or thermoelectric cooling system, the La Petite is an environmentally-friendly cooler. It also has the benefit of being quieter than compressor-cooled refrigerators. With this cooling system, the wine cabinet has a temperature range of 64.4° to 77°F. Within the Boost Zone, however, this can be lowered further to 46.4°F to chill your sparkling and white whines simply by pressing the Boost button mounted on the control panel.
The EuroCave La Petite Wine Cabinet is available only in black. It has a glass door that opens on the cabinet’s right through which your wine bottles can be displayed. An interior light illuminates the bottles.
This freestanding wine cooler can be installed in your kitchen, dining room, living room, bar, or study. As it is in all black, it blends seamlessly with any décor. And because of its width of only 12 inches and depth of 18 inches, it does not have an excessively large footprint making it easy to install in any location. It is 32 inches tall.
