With the dual zones of the EdgeStar CWR460DZ Wine Refrigerator, it is capable of storing red and white wines at the same time chilling them to their respective recommended serving temperatures.
There are a total of six shelves in the refrigerator. The upper zone has two of these while the lower has the other four. They are made of wood slats with a front trim of stainless steel. The slats are intended to keep the wine bottles from rolling over thus keeping the wine sediments still. The shelves can be pulled out for convenient storage and retrieval of the bottles.
The upper zone of the refrigerator has a temperature range of 41° – 54°F and the lower zone from 54° – 64°F. Thus, you can store your white wine bottles in the upper zone where the two shelves can hold sixteen 750 mL bottles. The lower zone’s four shelves, on the other hand, can hold 30 bottles of the same size of red wines.
Temperature is adjusted with digital controls including an LED display indicating temperature levels in the two zones. The controls regulate the output of the compressor-based cooling mechanism. Refrigerant used is 134a which is the least environmentally harmful refrigerant available. Rubber bushings are installed to absorb vibration from the compressor. Cooling is assisted by an internal fan that circulates cold air inside the refrigerator. It also has an auto defrost feature.
The combination of the black refrigerator cabinet with the stainless steel door frame and its no-frills design make the EdgeStar CWR460DZ Wine Refrigerator suitable for most kitchens. The frame perfectly matches the trims of the wine shelves. It encloses
a glass door through which your wine can be showcased with the help of an interior LED blue light. This door is reversible allowing you to choose on which side it opens. It is opened with a stainless steel towel bar handle.
With its front vents, the refrigerator can be installed under your bar or kitchen counter. It has measurements of 33.25″ H x 23.50″ W x 22.75″ D.
