The lustrous door frame trim of the glass door of the Danby Whirlpool WWC287BLS Wine Cooler is a perfect match for the stainless steel trim of the wine racks, clearly visible through the glass door, and a striking contrast to the black cabinet, both exterior and interior. This makes the wine cooler an attractive addition to any kitchen regardless of décor or motif.
The Danby Whirlpool is a dual zone wine cooler with a bottle capacity of 38. An upper zone has two beech wood wine racks consisting of slats spaced apart to prevent the bottles from rolling. These are stained in black to maintain an all-black interior. Up to 14 bottles can be stored in this zone. The lower zone, with its four wine racks, can hold 24 wine bottles.
The divider between these two zones incorporates an electronic temperature control consisting of touch buttons and two LED temperature displays, one indicating the temperature for the upper zone and another for the lower. These can be programmed to display either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Temperature can be set between 39° to 64°F, with each zone having a setting different from the other.
These temperatures are generated by an efficient compressor, and they remain constant as a fan circulates cool air within the cooler. It is also frost free further helping maintain temperature levels.
Inside the cooler are LED track lights with a blue illumination that provides a dramatic exhibition of your wine bottles. These lights do not exude heat so you won’t have to worry about raising temperatures within while showcasing your collection.
The tempered glass door, while transparent enough to display your collection, is tinted to filter out ultraviolet rays that could adversely affect your wine. The top of the frame enclosing the glass door includes a stainless steel handle. Behind this is a lock to secure your collection.
The Whirlpool is a freestanding unit with reversible doors. It has dimensions of approximately 19″ W x 24″ D x 33″ H.
