Cuisinart Private Reserve Wine Cellar CWC-800

With a footprint that is only slightly bigger than one-and-a-half square feet, it is easy to find a suitable spot on your kitchen or bar counter for the Cuisinart Private Reserve Wine Cellar CWC-800.

The CWC-800 is a compact wine cooler that can hold eight bottles of your favorite wine, whether sparkling, white, rosé, or red, in four chrome wine racks. These are contoured to the shape of the bottles to keep them from rolling over and disturbing the wine sediments. However, they are not suited for bottles larger than the 750 mL kind.

Chilling of the wine relies on a solid state thermoelectric cooling system. Thus, it is quiet, vibration-free, energy-efficient, and perhaps most important, environmentally friendly. This is because it does not use chlorofluorocarbons.

An electronic touchpad mounted inside the wine cellar along with a blue LED display allows the adjustment of temperature to the desired level. This can be as low as 39°F for your sparkling wines and perhaps light-bodies white wines to 68°F for your full-bodied red wines. This range, however, varies with the ambient temperature.

The cabinet exterior of the Cuisinart Private Reserve Wine Cellar CWC-800 is in a stainless steel finish. This makes it suitable for most kitchens or bars. This is especially true if there are other appliances in the kitchen made of stainless steel.

The cooling chamber is painted in black but is equipped with a soft interior lighting system that illuminates your bottles. The light has a steady on switch for a dramatic display of your collection through the glass door. The door is dual paned which serves to insulate the cooler from hot air. It is also tinted to keep harmful ultraviolet rays from your wine bottles.

The wine cellar measures approximately 11 inches wide, 20 deep, and 17 high.
