Intended for serious wine collectors who have a growing collection, the tall (only a shade below six feet) Avanti WCR683DZD-1 Wine Cooler has enough room for 149 bottles of wine stored in two separate cooling zones.
These bottles are laid on 15 removable sliding shelves and 1 fixed shelf at the bottom of the cooler. Half are in the upper zone with the other half in the lower. The shelves, including their fronts, are made of wood but are fitted with metal roller assemblies on their sides for smooth pull-out.
Two sets of temperature control buttons are installed above the door frame, one for each of the two zones, simplifying temperature setting. To make it even less complicated, there are one touch digital control buttons for red and white wines. By simply pushing on the button for red wines, for instance, the appropriate temperature for them is immediately set.
A compressor-based cooling system is capable of cooling your wines at temperatures ranging from 40° to 65°F. However, the cooler must be installed in a place where the ambient temperature does not go beyond a range of 72° to 78°F otherwise it may not achieve its normal temperature range.
A stainless steel trim of the door frame provides an attractive contrast with the black cabinet body. A door handle, also in stainless steel, adds even more luster to the cooler. Enclosed by the frame is a double paned glass door that not only protects the wine bottles from harmful UV rays, but also provides superior insulation to the cooler. Additionally, the glass door allows the showcasing of the wine bottles inside. An interior light with a one touch switch lights the bottles up resulting in a dramatic presentation.
