Equipped with seven wire racks, the upper five of which are fitted with front wood trims, the Avanti WC55SR Wine Refrigerator can provide the proper storage area for up to 52 wine bottles. The racks are scalloped to prevent the bottles from rolling and agitating the wine sediments. They run on roller assemblies making it virtually effortless to pull them out for the storage or withdrawal of bottles.
The refrigerator is a single-zone wine chiller with an adjustable electronic thermostat regulating temperature levels to suit the type of wines stored, from the rich and spicy reds to sparkling and desert wines. Cooling depends on a compressor system which has an automatic defrost feature.
A digital LED display is mounted on the top frame of the glass door displaying current temperature. Beside it are the off/on switch, up and down arrow buttons for temperature adjustment, and the interior light switch.
The refrigerator cabinet is finished in a shiny black that complements the stainless steel frame of the glass door. A long curved door handle is affixed to the right side of the door which is also made of stainless steel. At the bottom is a grille, which is again in stainless steel, overlays the front exhaust vent of the refrigerator.
Consisting of double-paned, mirrored, and tempered glass, the door serves the dual function of insulating the cabinet interior and keeping it dark. The two layers of glass effectively seal cool air inside and exclude hot air from outside, while the mirrored glass finish reflects light thus preventing adverse chemical reactions in the wine that can be caused by ultraviolet rays.
The Avanti WC55SSR Wine Refrigerator stands 34.25 with a width of 23.5 and depth of 25, all in inches. These dimensions, along with the front vent, allow its installation underneath your kitchen or bar counter as a built-in unit. There is, however, nothing to prevent a freestanding use.
