The Avanti WC52SS Wine Refrigerator would make a good replacement or addition to your smaller wine coolers. It has a 52-bottle capacity stored in seven wine shelves. These are made of chrome and are designed like waves to keep your bottles from rolling and agitating the wine sediments, which unfavorably affects the wine. They are removable for easy cleaning but they are neither adjustable nor can they slide out.
The refrigerator runs on a compressor which, along with the digital adjustable thermostat, allows you to set temperature levels from a range starting at 46°F to 65°F. This means you can chill red, rosé, white, and sparkling wines. The refrigerator even has a one-touch adjustment button for reds and whites. A button next to a symbol for red wine automatically chooses 57°F, while another button beside a white wine symbol sets the temperature to 46°F. Although the cooler is a single zone type, you can still store both red and white wine at the same time by putting the reds on the upper racks and the whites below. This is because cold air is heavy and tends to accumulate at the lower areas.
An interior light that has a continuous on switch helps to showcase your wine collection through the glass door. The illuminated bottles often look dramatic against the backdrop of the black interior.
The refrigerator’s external cabinet is colored black. The door consists of two glass panes that are tempered and tinted for insulation and protection from UV rays. They are enclosed by a stainless steel frame that is field reversible. The door is opened by a long towel-rack type stainless steel handle.
An air vent below the door allows the Avanti WC52SS Wine Refrigerator to be built-in under your counter, although you can always opt for a freestanding installation.
