The wine cooler measures only 13.75″ wide and 19.5″ deep, occupying a floor space of less than 2 square feet. It stands 26″ tall and is designed for a freestanding installation. Apart from its thermopane glass door, the cabinet is in all black, which means it can seamlessly blend with any kitchen or appliance. The door incorporates a recessed handle and it can be fitted to open either on the left or right side of the cooler to suit your preference or installation requirements.
In spite of its small size, the EWC18DZ is divided into two zones, the upper one of which can accommodate six wine bottles while the lower zone carries 12. These zones can be cooled to different temperature levels allowing you to store white wine in one zone and red wine in the other. Soft touch controls set the desired temperature levels while a full-range thermostat regulates and maintains them. An auto defrost feature removes unwanted ice build-ups on the interior walls.
The wine bottles are cradled in chrome shelves. They are scalloped to keep the bottles in place so as not to disturb the wine sediments and adversely affect the taste and aroma of the wine. A soft interior light allows the showcasing of your wine collection.
The wine cooler utilizes an environmentally-friendly solid state thermoelectric cooling system. This system has neither a compressor nor chlorofluorocarbons that could harm the ozone layer. Since it does not have too many moving components, it runs quietly and with a minimum of vibration. This also contributes to keeping the wine bottles still.
