Perhaps one of the best features of the Amana AWCE50AR Wine Refrigerator is its low noise. With an output of only 47 dB, it can be compared with having a conversation at home in a quiet suburban neighborhood. In spite of its use of a compressor-based cooling mechanism, vibration is almost negligible. These are possible because of the refrigerator’s use of an advanced rubber grommet technology. Heavy-duty rubber grommets strategically positioned within the refrigerator absorb both noise and vibration.
The Amana AWCE50AR Wine Refrigerator has a black cabinet with a glass door that is tinted with a blue gray hue, and which is framed either in black or stainless steel. It stands 35″ on adjustable legs, and has a width of about 24″ and a depth of 26″ including its door handle. This opener is a metal tube-type that runs almost the full height of the door frame. Beneath the door is an air vent which allows the unit to be installed either under the counter or freestanding.
Behind the glass door are six chrome wine racks that slide out for convenient storage and access to the bottles. You have the option of installing racks that are trimmed with unstained wood shelf fronts. These racks have a capacity of 50 bottles of your favorite wine. An interior light brightens the interior of the refrigerator so you can display your collection even if the door remains closed.
With the electronic temperature control that consists of adjustment buttons and an LED display, the temperature level within the cooler can be set to a low of 39°F or a high of 65°F for your Champagne or Burgundy respectively. If you are just starting out on collecting wine and still need to be reminded what temperature goes with what wine, automatic settings for reds and whites is provided. Aside from this, the refrigerator also controls and maintains humidity levels to 75%. At this level, the cork is kept moist.
